# Send money home

> Borrow straight to your family, or send what you already hold.

## Borrow and send in one step

<Steps>
  <Step title="Choose who to send to">
    A family member's Matocard, picked from your contacts.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Enter the amount">
    In rupiah, for example Rp 800,000. The app shows the AUSD figure at a rate locked for 60 seconds, and checks it fits your available credit.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Confirm">
    The money is drawn from your credit line straight to their account. It settles in under a second, and their phone shows it right away.
  </Step>
</Steps>

This opens a **cycle**: you now owe that amount, interest-free, due in 30 days. Settling it on time is what raises your score. See [Settle](/guides/settle).

## Send what you already hold

AUSD already in your account (for example, money someone sent you) can be sent on to anyone, without borrowing. You only sign; Matocard submits it and pays the network fee. Up to 50 sends per day.

## What your family does

They open Matocard, see the money, and [cash out](/guides/cash-out) to their Indonesian bank in rupiah, or keep it in AUSD.
