Now: testnet (September – October 2026)

Built during Monad Metropolis.
  • Credit line contract: modular UUPS proxy, lender pool, collateral in a yield vault, card hold, one identity per account, score and limit, defaults. Verified on Monad testnet
  • Over 100 Foundry tests at 100% coverage, invariant tests, Slither in CI
  • Gasless sends (ERC-3009) and one-transaction repayments (permit)
  • Envio indexer: history, public record page, daily reconciliation
  • Backend live: KYC with Didit, payments with Xendit, relayer, API with Swagger
  • Ringgit in through Xendit Malaysia (FPX, DuitNow), rupiah in and out through Xendit Indonesia
  • Landing site at matocard.xyz and these docs at docs.matocard.xyz
  • Passkey app (PWA)
  • User testing with at least five Indonesian workers in Malaysia and their families

Next: mainnet

  • Real yield: move collateral from the testnet mock to earnAUSD.
  • Issuer-side fiat: Agora’s Routes API to mint and redeem AUSD directly against fiat, removing Matocard’s own treasury float.
  • Governance: the admin key behind a multisig and a timelock long enough for users to repay and leave.
  • Third-party audit of the contracts.
  • Licensed partners for the card and the remittance legs.

Later

  • A real card: a physical and virtual card through a licensed issuer. Today the card number is visual only.
  • Passkey recovery: rebind a verified identity to a new account after a waiting period.
  • A credit passport: the record read directly by partner banks and other protocols.
  • More corridors beyond Malaysia → Indonesia.
  • Native app and WhatsApp notifications.
  • Collateral options: rebalancing across vaults, collateral from other chains.

Regulation

Credit and a card need a licensed bank or issuer. Remittance needs a Bank Indonesia licence and Malaysian approval. Crypto assets in Indonesia are supervised by OJK. The realistic path is licensed partners, or OJK’s regulatory sandbox (POJK 3/2024). Matocard is a testnet product until then.
